"Well, let it pass, he thought; April is over, April is over. There are all kinds of love in the world, but never the same love twice."
"That’s what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is. Most people love you for who you pretend to be. To keep their love, you keep pretending - performing. You get to love your pretense. It’s true, we’re locked in an image, an act - and the sad thing is, people get so used to their image, they grow attached to their masks. They love their chains. They forget all about who they really are. And if you try to remind them, they hate you for it, they feel like you’re trying to steal their most precious possession."
I don’t think anyone could ever complete me like you have.
"Sometimes we make love with our eyes. Sometimes we make love with our hands. Sometimes we make love with our bodies. Always we make love with our hearts."

"I know I am but summer to your heart, and not the full four seasons of the year."
― Edna St. Vincent Millay
"Sometimes fate is like a small sandstorm that keeps changing directions. You change direction but the sandstorm chases you. You turn again, but the storm adjusts. Over and over you play this out, like some ominous dance with death just before dawn. Why? Because this storm isn’t something that blew in from far away, something that has nothing to do with you. This storm is you. Something inside of you. So all you can do is give in to it, step right inside the storm, closing your eyes and plugging up your ears so the sand doesn’t get in, and walk through it, step by step. There’s no sun there, no moon, no direction, no sense of time. Just fine white sand swirling up into the sky like pulverized bones. That’s the kind of sandstorm you need to imagine."

"Absence diminishes mediocre passions and increases great ones, as the wind extinguishes candles and fans fires."

I don’t believe in true love, or at least the conventional definition of it anyway. I don’t think you can unconditionally love someone forever, because we’re all susceptible to changes, either for better or for worse.
Love is beautiful, but it’s ugly too. Infidelity is probably one of the ugliest aspects of a love going downhill. But a relationship that is strong does not simply go downhill. There needs to be a a change or force for it to go in that direction.
Infidelity itself does not arise out of thin air. People change, and the relationship shifts. Opportunities may present themselves, and infidelity is born. No one is exempted from this. If you think you are, then maybe you’re just too self righteous to admit it, or it just hasn’t happened to you yet.
But I don’t think love is about a relationship where both parties is always happy or faithful. That’s just a static relationship, and to be honest, I would become bored. Without obstacles and bumps in the road, how will your relationship become stronger?
Love isn’t about the butterflies, the hugs, and kisses, or the happiness. It’s about acceptance, and enduring the changes and obstacles together.
"Those who are faithless know the pleasures of love; it is the faithful who know love’s tragedies."
― Oscar wilde
"True love is eternal, infinite, and always like itself. It is equal and pure, without violent demonstrations: it is seen with white hairs and is always young in the heart."
"I’m not supposed to love you, I’m not supposed to care, I’m not supposed to live my life wishing you were there. I’m not supposed to wonder where you are or what you do…I’m sorry I can’t help myself, I’m in love with you."

"When you smiled you had my undivided attention. When you laughed you had my urge to laugh with you. When you cried you had my urge to hold you. When you said you loved me, you had my heart forever."
